The Place of Restoration Resource Center: How We Started

Founded on the Christian principle of Matthew 25:35 — “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited me in.”

The Place of Restoration Resource Center (PORRC) was established to address hunger and provide essential support within our community. We serve as a vital link between food resources and community-based partner agencies, ensuring that nutritious food reaches families and individuals in need.

Beyond addressing hunger, our outreach extends to connecting the community with health and financial literacy resources, empowering individuals toward lasting stability and well-being.

Partnership

We collaborate with grocery stores, food distributors, and partner agencies to recover fresh meats, fruits, vegetables, and other food items—both perishable and nonperishable—to provide nutritious food for individuals and families in need.
